EmPressTwo is the second layer of a 4 layer compression system, it is a Type 2 Light Support bandage consisting of nylon, viscose and elastomeric yarn. Soft, conformable and designed to aid the compression properties of the 3rd and 4th layers of the system.

EmPressTwo can also be used on its own to offer support to sprains and strains, when a crepe bandage is not suitable.

Application as a compression system:

  • Ensure soft padding is applied over the area of use

  • Beginning one finger above the white bandage from the toes

  • Apply in a circular motion with 50% coverage of previous wrap

  • Wrap around the ankle in a figure of 8, ensure full heel coverage

  • Work up the leg, using the 50% coverage measure and appropriate pressure is being applied

  • Trim any excess bandage and secure with appropriate fixation device

Application as a supportive bandage:

  • Wrap around limb or joint identified as needing support in a figure of 8

  • Ensure full coverage of wound, dressing or joint

  • Secure with tape

  • Contraindications

    Cannot be used to provide pressure on its own
